Splish-Splash

ast night we had a storm, so Elliott was barely in the tub long enough to get wet. To make up for it, tonight I let the water in the bathtub run an extra long amount of time and Elliott had a great time splashing about. Here, he was getting kind of tired and started perfecting his one-armed splash.

Elliott visits the Easter Bunny 2011

Elliott visited his old friend Easter Bunny today at the Triangle Town Center Mall in Raleigh. Mommy was REALLY nervous that he would freak out while sitting in Easter Bunny's lap, but he did great! He smiled for the camera, then took a good LONG look up at the bunny. After the picture was taken and Mommy was ready for Elliott to leave, he was so comfy in Easter Bunny's lap that he didn't even reach for Mommy to pick him up! We told Easter Bunny bye bye and Elliott even blew him a kiss! YAY! What a great time! :)

Word List

Elliott's vocabulary seems to be growing by leaps and bounds these days! He mimics the sounds we make and even tries to sing songs that we're singing! I thought I'd jot down a list of the words he is saying these days, both vocally and with his hands.

dances & giggles before bed

Tonight Elliott was trying his hardest to avoid going to bed. He tried his usual tactic -- dancing with the fridge magnet. Then he tried pushing Daddy around the floor -- which he found beyond funny!

Talking on the Phone

Elliott LOVES "talking" on the phone. Well, he just plain loves talking! Give him something that he can use as his pretend phone, and he walks around the house doing this! :)

tooth #13... AND #14!

Elliott got his top two canines... though I'm not really sure when.

Tonight I was brushing his teeth while he was laying on the changing table. I noticed that it wasn't just gummy between his lateral incisors and molars. I stuck my thumb in the side of his mouth and behind his gums to pry open his mouth... and there they were! Two canines! His top left looks like it came through yesterday or the day before, but the top right one looks like it might have popped through today.

So, maybe the bottom two are on the way soon. We'll see!
