two new milestones

Milestone #1- Rolling over! On the night of April 1st (my mom's birthday) my little bitty baby rolled over for the first time! He was laying on his back and rolled towards the right and FINALLY got his arm out of the way and WAM! He was on his tummy!! Mom and I were on the floor with him and went crazy in celebration! April 2 we didn't give him much of a chance to roll over (no tummy-time) but on April 3 we put him down for a few minutes at Grandma & Papa Johnson's house and he rolled over for everyone there!

Here is a picture of my super star right after his first roll:

Milestone #2- A tooth! Well, my four month old cut his first tooth. (It made it's first appearance on April 4, Easter Sunday.) The first question I've been getting from people when I tell them that is "Oh, how was that?!" Well, he also had a double ear infection and major congestion during the tooth cutting process, so I'm not sure which of those things made him grouchy. He seemed to be a little ill during the day (wanting to be held a lot) but he slept pretty well during naps and at night. It probably helped a little during some of those nights that we gave him Tylenol before putting him to bed.

Do you see a tooth??

Look closely... it's there!

He was given Amoxicillin for his ears... and BOY DOES HE HATE IT! I can definitely see his will starting to show while giving him his medicine. It takes two people to get him to open his mouth and get all the meds down his throat (as opposed to down his chin and on his bib).

I can't believe my little baby has a tooth already! I just know it was yesterday that I was in Labor and Delivery having him!!!

Easter Bunny

Elliott took a trip to the Augusta Mall to see his new friend, the Easter Bunny! He was a little distracted by all the sights in the mall, but his Mommy was super happy that he wasn't scared of the bunny!

big boy bath

Tonight we moved Elliott's bath-time from his baby bathtub to our bathtub. He was getting too long for his little tub, and even though I didn't want to move him to the big-people tub, he really was just too long for his small tub. He had started kicking his feet which caused him to push back and hit his head on the top of the tub. I didn't want him to hurt himself! So, all this goes to remind me that our little boy is growing up... and I can't stop him :( I'm just trying to enjoy each phase and not rush it!

a sleepy baby

Matt was bouncing a sleepy Elliott and he started "singing" and then fell asleep! So cute! I wish putting him to sleep was always this easy :)

Tongue Clicking

On Wednesday March 3, 2010 we were at Small Group and heard Elliott making a noise with his mouth. It sounded like he was blowing kisses! When we watched him, he was actually sucking his top lip with his tongue. It was so cute! Well, turns out he does this all day long now and we find it silly every single time! I finally caught it on tape-woohoo! (Each time I pull the camera out he stops clicking and looks straight at the camera with an "I don't trust you" look on his face.)

Like mother, like son

I got a pretty good amount of sleep last night. Elliott slept five hours, ate, then slept three more. With that being said, I'm still a bit sleepy at 9am. Elliott is sitting in his bouncy seat, kicking around and talking to the animals hanging in front of him. I just yawned and rubbed my eyes from sleepiness, only to look down and see Elliott doing the exact same thing! I love it when I see parts of Matt or myself "cloned" in him! I know that one day when he mirrors our sins it won't be so cute, but right now I'm enjoying seeing ourselves in him :)
