Elliott has happy feet!
Elliott has learned a new dance move! Multiple times a day, he presses the button on the refrigerator toy, the toy plays music, and Elliott shuffles his feet. It's so cute!

Elliott signs "more"
I've been working on certain sign language signs with Elliott since he was just a wee little babe to help him communicate better without using words. Last night he signed "milk" for the first time and today he signed "more". I'm just so proud of him that I almost can't stand it!
[He started signing "all done" at around 10 months, but hasn't really done any of the other ones we've been working on until now. He knows how to clap and say 'bye bye', too, but I'm not sure those are considered true sign language.]

Handy the Tow Truck
Elliott loves carrying Handy around the house. He talks to him while walking, and then sits for a while and pushes him around. He thinks it is soooo funny to press his face and hear him making noises. At one point you'll notice that he even turns Handy over and does some 'under the hood' work. :) He is allll boy!

A Sense Of Urgency
Today I was standing in the kitchen and Elliott came over to me and tapped on my leg. He was "talking", but not like his normal babble... it was a little more high-pitched and faster than normal. Then I realized he was pointed and 'leading' me by looking across the room, then back to me, then back across the room. I looked over, and there was Simeon (the 7 month old little boy I babysit) pulling on my cookbooks. Elliott knows that touching my cookbooks (that are on a little 2 shelf bookshelf) is a BIG no-no, and there he was -- TATTLING on Simeon!
I wondered fueled Elliott's huge sense of urgency, and apparently it was that some other little boy was getting away with what Elliott gets in big trouble for! haha

Walking at Brice & Julie's new house
We went to see Brice & Julie's new house! Elliott went on a walk-through and gave the new house two toddler thumbs WAY up! He even picked out a bedroom that he would love to call his own ;)

Happy Mac & Cheese
Elliott loves eating. He also likes to not wear clothes. Put the two together, and he really has a grand ol' time!

YES
For ages Elliott has been shaking his head 'no'. For a long time it didn't have any meaning behind it, and recently I've noticed that he does it for the appropriate reasons. I'll tell him that he can't do something, and he shakes his head 'no'. I'll ask him if he wants to come with me to the other room, and he shakes his head 'no'. I've wondered how long it would be before he knew how to shake 'yes'. Well, this morning after I got him out of his crib, I laid him on his back on our bed to take his sleepsack off, and I asked him something (I can't remember what) and he, as big as day, shook his head 'YES'!
I haven't been able to get him to do it again, but I'm hoping that pretty soon it will be so common that I kinda forget what it was like to have a little 'no' boy.
